Terms of Use

1. The service

Junkless helps sort SMS and MMS messages from unknown senders on iPhone into spam, transactions and promotions. It works within the limits iOS sets for message filter apps: it cannot see iMessages or messages from your contacts, and it cannot move messages that have already arrived.

2. Licence

Junkless is licensed to you, not sold. Your use is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) and by these Terms, which supplement it. If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails to the extent required by Apple.

These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Junkless or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to Junkless. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

3. Eligibility

You must be old enough to agree to these Terms where you live, or use Junkless with the permission of a parent or guardian, and comply with the App Store Terms of Service.

4. Free features

Filtering, the proactive filter, AI explanations on supported iPhones, message testing, reporting, Under attack mode and up to 10 rules of your own are free. On the free plan the scam database refreshes once a month and with app updates, and you can earn one extra update a week by reporting 10 messages that are spam and that you have not reported before. Filtering and spam protection will stay complete on the free plan.

5. Pro and Family: subscriptions and purchases

• Junkless Pro and Junkless Family are offered as monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscriptions and as one-time lifetime purchases. The name, duration and price of each option are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Family plans are shared through Apple Family Sharing with up to five family members. Individual plans are not shareable.
• Prices may change. Apple will notify you of price increases for subscriptions as required.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds and any statutory right of withdrawal (such as the 14-day right in the EU) are handled by Apple under its terms; request them at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Tips (Support Junkless) are optional one-time purchases. They are a thank-you, unlock no features and are not subscriptions.

6. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with, overload, probe or reverse engineer our servers or signed data, create false reports, circumvent purchase checks, or use Junkless to harm others or break the law.

7. Accuracy of filtering

Spam detection is based on probabilities. Junkless may let some spam through or treat a legitimate message as spam. Filtered messages stay in the Junk folder in Messages, so check it if you expect an important message. Junkless is not a substitute for your own caution, and nothing it shows is legal, financial or security advice.

AI explanations are written by Apple's on-device language model from the filter's decision. They can be incomplete or wrong and are for information only; the filter decision shown in the app is what is applied.

8. Scam database and third-party content

The scam database includes third-party lists used under their licences, which are listed in the app under Settings › Acknowledgements. Inclusion or absence of a website is not a statement about any person or organisation. If you believe your website is listed in error, contact us.

9. Intellectual property

Junkless, its software, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components are used under their own licences.

10. Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Junkless is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, or for messages that are filtered, delivered or missed. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Junkless in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intent, or any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

11. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update Junkless and these Terms. For material changes we will update the date at the top and inform you in the app. We may suspend server features to protect the service. You can stop using Junkless at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. The courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in, and benefit from the mandatory protections of, the country where you live. Consumers in Türkiye may also apply to consumer arbitration committees within their monetary limits.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Standard EULA and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement about Junkless.
